It seems you have mastered the topic of psychology when it comes to habits of people in online world. And your advices are so great that every video somehow relates to what we are doing as a blog owners/product sellers or just as anyone for that matter.

This is a fantastic video! I just found you through a random Facebook post and am now a subscriber.

I’m just getting started and my mum thought I was crazy when I volunteered my graphic design services to my local community centre, and designed a label for my neighbour when I’m pretty sure I won’t ever get paid for it (but you never know right?).

Well, after 40 hours of free work at the community centre last month, they can’t stop raving about me and my work, and pass my contact information along to anyone who needs a designer. And my neighbour? He’s “That Guy”. The one who knows EVERYBODY and networks like a boss…. and now he thinks I am the bomb! So guess what? He’s passing my cards out to all his business connections.

Good to know I am on the right track!

Amen brother. That was definitely one of my issues when I first started online. I would have all these ideas and I was literally building one e-commerce store after another one, then as if I wasn’t busy enough, I started building adsense sites! But now I have just ONE main money making site and a blog cause I like sharing the knowledge on stuff I learned along the way.. and I rather do that then waste time on facebook or something. It’s more productive anyway!

Reminds me of the 2 minute rule of procrastination.

Say to yourself, I will do this activity for 2 minutes and then move on.

Blog posts, reading, video’s, running, whatever the activity be.

The important part is taking ACTION NOW. TODAY.

Timely advice as always, Derek, coming at the point when we are just about to launch our products on the world (he says, with a voice of world domination!)

Think we may even have had the 10,000 customer conversation ourselves today! Ok, so it’s concentrate on the first one – got it. Actually I did have that as one of my goals.

Are you interested in becoming our first customer. One of your first goals could be not to cuss so much.

I personally believe it all boils down to hard work and how bad do you want it. If you make the commitment to work hard no matter what it takes to be a leader/winner in what ever you take on, then you can’t be beaten.

That has been my dilemma, to increase my paying customer database. I shall focus more on getting one more customer and delegate or outsource other things that I do for my web design business. Thanks Derek, always a Pleasure watching your videos, you are getting more bolder !

OMG! This was absolutely hilarious… and yet… a wake up call for so many.

I’m going to admit it… today I’m your 1 customer. Although I “liked” your Facebook page, I’ve never been to your blog, seen your videos, or read your stuff. Seriously, Derek! I’m now doing all the above.

Why? Because you pulled that trigger. You’re human, no-nonsense, and straight-forward advice was rock solid. And, to boot, you put in that bit of NYer to push that passion for your topic. (I should know.. I’m originally from Lawn Gisland!)

People get too hyped up about the numbers. If you have a solid product and you stand by it – no matter what – then that is what will make you successful. I’m not saying that that is all it takes but it’s the heart of success.

Thanks a ton for making me laugh and letting that NY passion come through. You’ve sealed the deal with this 1 customer. 😉
