Right now, we sell in-depth online training courses, publish a popular YouTube TV show, and also have a software product ZippyCourses…
…And that’s why we need you.
Our core software product, Zippy Courses, is undergoing a major overhaul. And we need a full-stack developer that can help us pull it off. Even though ZippyCourses is about a year old, it has quickly become one of the most popular ways to create – and sell – online courses.
Why did we create this software?
Long story short: My name is Derek Halpern, and I believe in the power of self-education. You see, what you learn in school isn’t nearly as important as what you learn after you graduate. And we created ZippyCourses as a way to help people share their knowledge with the world – and get paid for it.
Here Are Your Required Responsibilities
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming
- Experience with modern MVC frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, Phalcon etc…
- Experience with MySql
- Intermediate to Advanced front end development knowledge, including modern HTML 5, CSS 3 and experience in at least one Javascript framework (VueJS, React, Angular, Ember)
- Experience working with Linux virtual machines
- Experience using Git and GitHub
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to work remotely
- Ability to work independently and determine task priority
- Experience using AWS (S3, EC2, Glacier, Route53, etc)
- Skilled in interpreting and implementing APIs from a variety of sources online, including Payment Gateway and Email List service integrations
- Experience with WordPress
- Experience building and maintaining a SaaS product
This position is PERFECT for you if have:
- Experience with the Laravel framework
- Experience using composer to manage dependencies
- UX and UI design skills
- Passion for SaaS and Education technologies
- Unit Testing / Integration Testing experience
- Continuous Integration experience (Travis CI, etc)
